As the first order of business we need to clear up the age old question of the flushing toilet and which way the water will flow. I know that myth busters did a show on this and found that it depended on the toilet more than the location. We decided to use our sink since it doesn't have jets or anything fancy and seems to have a consistent shape to it. We will post a video of the results a little later, but we want to see what you all think. Also somebody needs to check and see which direction the water drains in the US because we forgot to check before we left.

Your water drains in a clockwise fashion...ours drains in a counter clockwise fashion...or wait a minute..is it the other way around....I'll check it for sure later. At any rate the phenomenon is called "coriolis force."
Love you guys,
Aunt Lanit
counter clockwise. I just checked. -mark
Thank you Mark. Stay tuned and we will announce which way it goes here.
Wait a minute, does this mean that your tiolet has jets or other fancy things? i want one. and i want my tank.
I just checked all 3 of my bathroom sinks which equals 5 sinks total and the water goes back around back and down the middle. Does that make sense? Oh are we talking about sinks or toilets? I didn't check my toilets....should I?
LOL, I just read the poll question again. Ok Im a little slow. We are talking about toilets:). I'll have to get back to you.
I have never paid attention to water drainage, but probably counter clockwise, it has to be the same down under, I just checked with Sweden and it is counter clockwise and clockwise and the meets in the middle and then goes down. Apparently swedes are indecicive (don't know how to spell that). Puss&hej
