Mikulas 2021 edition

 It seems that Mikulas stopped by on a visit and dropped off a few treats in all of our shoes. The girls were keen as mustard and managed to get ready in record time so they could see what they each got. They were certainly not disappointed.

Video producing lectures

 KT has been working as a lecturer at Sydney University for over a year now and she has been asked to record not only some of her lectures but those of other lecturers as well. We went in and used some of the medical models to record some of the lectures. We managed to get quite a bit of content recorded and it has turned out well. Now the hard part of editing it all together will begin.

Non-school excursion

 The teachers were on strike this day but the girls still wanted to have an educational day. So KT took them to the Australian Museum for most of the day. They had a really good time and walked around for hours.

Snowballs and decorations

 We wanted to decorate the house for Xmas now that the tree was up so we pulled out the rest of the decorations. The girls found the snowballs straight away which led to a snowball fight straight away. SV got serious as she upturned the table to create a safe space for her self. Eventually the girls came out to 'help' decorate. They had fun and we managed to get everything up and ready, so it was a success. 

MV's burger buddy

 We went out to dinner and MV made friends with a burger buddy. She found all of the pictures and copied each of them. She went all in copying not only the expressions and hand gestures, but also the feet placement too. Oh, and the burgers were good too.

Famous star mufti day

 As a fundraising event the school allowed the kids to have a mufti day, not wearing their uniform, and dress up as their favourite star. SV chose to be Katy Perry because she sometimes wears cat ears. MV was going as Frida Kahlo but then at the last minute changed her mind and went as a 'famous beach girl'. We suppose this aligns to her goal of being a YouTuber, teacher and pop star when she grows up. EV didn't want to have any part of any of it. She was actually in a good mood, just the dressing up and photographs did not appeal to her this day.

SV's summer soccer comp

 SV is playing in a summer league with a slightly smaller field and fewer players. She is not really enjoying at as much because she said she likes the training more than the games usually. When she gets into it though, she does well. This game was quite hot though and both teams were struggling a bit after a number of cool games before.
