Busy day with Babička

MV and SV started the day playing at home, mostly being a bit silly. MV worked hard on her toys from her seat while SV had a rest surrounded by her books. We then had to get ready for our formal portraits which required a bit of a rearrangement of the living room. In the afternoon TV took Babička to see some of the sites including the Opera House from the Harbour Bridge. They even took a little walk around the new Headland Park at Barangaroo.

Dinner in and out

While Babička was here we are making the most of family dinner time. Both eating at home and going out to some lovely places. It has been fun for both the kids and the adults. We even managed to get some family photographs although TV looks a bit surprised even though he had the camera.

Birthday party season kick off

It's that time of year when SV's friends are starting to have birthday parties. This was a good way to start with SV catching up with a lot of her friends from school. SV got to try her hand at her first pinata as well which she liked.

Morning with Babička

A typical morning with Babička included an examination, laughing over coffee and general play.

Father's Day tea

This year SV's school had afternoon tea for all of the dads. There were games, food and fun, but first the rain had to go away. SV had fun as did TV. They put in a good effort to finish second in the musical chairs game and did well in the fancy dress game too.

Make your own burger

In Australia Mcdonalds has started letting people build their own burgers from a bunch of ingredients. We took Babicka along to try it out since it's pretty fun. It made for a lightly more upscale experience especially when paired with the leather couches and nice lights. Of course it is still fast food and a bit of frivolity is still in order.
