Since we got back from Yeppoon SV has been wanting to go to the beach. Since it was such a hot day we thought we would oblige her and go. We had to pack MV the turtle and picked up Uncle Nick before we headed to Clovelly beach. The weather didn't disappoint and the cold water felt refreshing. We had our beach tent with us so that MV could take a nap in the shade much like her sister did four years ago. Uncle Nick buried SV partially and they made a mermaid tail for her out of the sand. It was a great day and by the time we got home everyone was worn out from all of the relaxing. Good sleeps all around.

A day of firsts
MV was having a day of firsts. She hasn't been sleeping very much recently and she has been quite angsty lately but this step forward explains why. Today she tried her first solid food, a cucumber, with a favourable review. She also dipped her legs in the ocean for the first time and bounced along. She also figured out how to flip from her back to her tummy. She now rolls around the house quite successfully.

Heading home from the beach
On our last day we went to the beach before heading off to catch or flights home. We want to say a big thank you to Mat and his family, especially his Mum, for having us and showing us a great time. We all had a great time at the beach just relaxing and playing. On the way home or first flight was delayed and we only had 20 minutes to make our connection including a bus ride. We are very very proud of SV and MV for being so good throughout. We not only made the connection, but we also had two excellent flights. Well done family.

Family breaky
The morning after the party we were up after a slight sleep in. We decided to make the most of the lovely weather and went out for breaky. Turned out to be a great idea with breaky being delicious. We all really liked it and followed it up with ice cream a little bit later. How can you go wrong with ice cream on a hot day?!

Mat's birthday party
Mat's birthday party had a theme, 'what you're going to be when you grow up'. It's pretty easy to figure out who everyone was. The girls both did really well staying up late and playing very nicely. They had no shortage of people to pay with. The party itself was a big success and everyone does themselves.

Still on the boat
The fresh sea air was nice for all of us including MV who watched everyone snorkeling. SV managed to get off the boat for a while to pay on the beach which she enjoyed. After a bit more mingling it was time to head back for a rest.

And so it begins...
About a year after we started looking for tickets the day has arrived for our second around the world trip. We are happy to announce that Squishy's World Tour is on it's way!
On the boat
In the morning we got dressed up and heard to the marina for our boat
trip. Everyone managed to get there on time and we managed to get
organised. SV made a friend and MV was happy to be passed around to meet
everyone. SV really liked the glass bottom boat so that she could see
the coral and fishes. The most fun she had was being part of the rescue
team as everyone else snorkeled in the wonderfully turquoise water.
