EV and TV had some time together since everyone else was at school or work. TV took a lunch break and the two of them walked down to get a halal snack pack for lunch. On the way back they stopped in at one of the pocket parks to eat their lunch and have a bit of a play. The day was perfect and they had a good time playing some games. Such good quality time.

Watching the Matildas play
Wow what an atmosphere! The stadium was packed with over 75,000 fans and probably 80% of them cheering for the Matildas along with us. The ceremony and the match were exciting. Although England scored first, our most popular player, Sam Kerr, scored an equalising goal. As she got the ball the stadium was dead silent and when the ball hit the back of the net everybody jumped into the air with a wild roar. It was fantastic! Despite a good efforts England won, but the crowd was proud of the Aussie team for not only getting into the semi-finals but playing quite well. We all enjoyed the special night and all of the emotion associated with it.

Off to see out Matildas
We were so very excited to go see our Matildas play against England in the semi-finals of the World Cup. Such a cool opportunity for all of us, especially the girls to see two of the best teams compete in front of a sold out crowd. The mood was jubilant through the crowd and the excitement continued to build as we got closer to the stadium. The girls loved the emotion and the spectacle and we all got caught up in it, in a good way.

Sightseeing in Ho Chi Minh City
After the tunnels Zen took KT on a tour of the city. They got to see some of the key sights including going to a high rise viewing platform. It was quite the view from up there allowing people to see the modernisation of the city.

KT arrives in Vietnam
Specifically in Ho Chi Minh City. We got a recommendation from a friend about a good tour guide named Zen who she booked for the day. He met KT at the airport and took her all around the city on a scooter. They had a great time and one of their first stops were the Viet Cong tunnels just outside the city. KT got to not only see the tunnels but also crawl through them. It was quite an experience particularly as there was quite a bit of history documented throughout from the Vietnamese perspective.

Saying good byes to friends
After a short but very good time in Europe, it was time for KT to say good bye to Auntie Naomi, Uncle Mat and Auntie Gemma. We can't wait to see Auntie Naomi next time we go to Europe. Mat and Gemma headed back to the UK for a few days before they too headed back to Sydney.

KT in Bruges
KT and friends made their way to Bruge to see the old city with it's many canals. They had a lovely time in such a gorgeous city. They got to stay right on one of the canals and had a short walk to a great brewery. Hard to beat that. Uncle Mat's dad joined them there for a bit more company.
