MV got a nail salon kit for one of her gifts and was really excited to put it to good use. She painted and dried nails before putting stickers on top. The other two were happy for the pampered treatment.

Morning play
In the morning the girls got up work on some of their new projects. EV didn't quite feel like that, instead she wanted to help TV assemble the new bicycle. Apparently that involved holding the hammer and spinning around it. In any case she had a good time. SV also enjoyed working on her lego which had various animals. MV was working on a rabbit which required her to glue and stick together a number of pieces. She found it to be a challenge but ultimately found it to be rewarding.

Opening presents
We got to open more presents after having taken a break for the girls to play with all of their new toys. They were ready now though to open more gifts and look at the wonderful toys. Again we managed to go through some but not all gifts before they got too busy playing.

After lunch walk
We went for a walk down to the ponds and the playground. We wanted to show Babicka and Brad the turtles and fish at the pond. Also the community garden with all of the edible plants. Afterwards the girls went and played at the playground for quite some time and explored different aspects of it.

Christmas lunch by the pool
We had Christmas lunch by the pool since it was another nice warm day. The girls took some time to relax and play. We then had a really nice lunch with chicken, stuffing, mash and some veggies. It was really tasty.

2022 Christmas morning
The girls were really exited to come downstairs and have a look at the presents from Santa. They made out really well with some great presents. They really enjoyed playing with them for quite some time.

Walking to look at the lights
We went to look at Xmas lights on our favourite street. The decorations were excellent as usual, but there were so many people that it took us a while to get through. After 4 years of deferring ice cream on the walk we finally gave in, mostly because Babicka was keen. It was a pleasant walk and we were all ready for a good sleep afterwards.
