Second half of our flights

Our second flight was in premium economy which is the first time that the kids traveled in anything but economy. It was quite comfortable, but they didn't sleep as much as they probably should have. Nevertheless the flight was good and we got into Frankfurt in good spirits. Those spirits were only improved by a delicious frankfurter and curry dog at the airport before getting aboard our final flight to Brussels. SV has been doing dabs in every country and that was the very first thing she did on arrival in Belgium. Despite traveling over 30 hours we ended up getting to Brussels quite well with relatively little stress.

Heading to Europe again

We're off on another adventure, but this time with three kids. The first leg of the trip will be the hardest with three flights and two connections. We left sunny Sydney and straight away got a bit silly in the taxi. It was a good way to release some of the stress from all the packing and last minute things to do. EV was not terribly impressed but she was satisfied. At the airport there was a silly dancing elf video where you could have your faces put on to the elves. That proved interesting to the junior crowd and we got a funny video. The flight to Hong Kong was uneventful with everyone behaving and keeping entertained nicely. Arriving into Hong Kong quite late we had a bit of a leg stretch and a quick photograph before getting on to our next flight.

MV's xmas school party

We all met up at MV's school for her xmas party. The storm clouds gathered but we all stayed outside to watch Spiderman do his acrobatics. Unfortunately the rain came down pretty hard just as he was finishing up and everyone rushed inside. It worked ok actually as it gave the kids a chance to sing a few songs before Santa Claus came to deliver his gifts. EV's gift is her new ability to grab her own feet and giggle. She seems to be enjoying her new coordination.

SV's first and last day of Year 1

SV has really grown this year and taken big steps forward. She is now fully reading by herself, working on all sorts of maths and socially become very aware. We are proud to see her grow so much.

SV's year 1 picnic

With the end of the school year upon us it was time to have a farewell picnic before the summer break. Some of the kids would certainly be in the same class next year, but others wouldn’t. The picnic gave them all a chance to run around together one more time. The kids had a great time and the park with lots of shade was a great setting for the get together.

More water park fun

The lazy river proved to be a popular choice for everyone as we could all go together. Even EV got to splash her feet around a bit. One of the last things we did was for SV and TV to go together on one of the big slides. They both had fun but it was getting late and we had to head home.

Fun on the slides

It was a hot day so we decided to go to the water park. This gave SV a chance to enjoy it. MV remembered when we went a few weeks ago and was very excited to act as a guide. Slowly SV remembered when she had been there before and was quite comfortable, even going on a few of the bigger slides alone. The sand beach was also a popular hang out this time around, burying each other the best activity.
