New friend

Auntie Heather and Uncle Mat came over before for dinner before they went on their overseas trip. SV already likes Mat and now she has made a friendship with Heather too. She was very happy to read books with Heather, and got quite sad when she had to get ready for bed.

Dog racing Part 2

One of the best things at the dog track is to get a Mr Whippy, a delicious soft serve ice cream with a choice of toppings. SV was very happy to take advantage of this opportunity to have some ice cream. That gave her energy to watch a few more races. She enjoyed meeting and hanging out with Heather whom she felt comfortable with. Eventually though SV got tired and had a bit of a rest. She was really well behaved and she enjoyed herself quite a bit.

Dog racing Part 1

Uncle Mat and his lady friend, Heather, were back in town before they headed off to Thailand. We decided to go check out the dog racing because the last time we went we had a good time. Before we went we had a tasty dinner of gourmet burgers from around the world. SV certainly liked hers.

When we got to the dog track we had a lot of fun watching the racing but also just walking around and watching the people. There were a number of families there and SV made a friend. She had a great time too watching the dogs as they walked to the starting blocks quite close to us and then as they sprinted by.

Sleepy morning

Continuing our trend of lazy mornings SV had a bit of a sleep in inspired by the story Princess and the Pea, except she was the pea. Currently she is really enjoying piling blankets on top of herself and/or her animals. After she got out of bed she made a train out of candles and golf paraphernalia. Eventually just before breakfast she sat in her room and read books telling us to 'go away' until she was ready. Teddy wanted to hear a story she said.

Football fever

The World Cup is around the corner and our household is getting quite excited about the prospect. This weekend we all watched the UEFA Champions League final and even SV enjoyed herself. It was a very good game and it allowed us to have a relaxed morning around the house.

Baby kitchen

SV is borrowing a toy kitchen from her friend Harriet. When TV put it together she was very very excited. She played with it for over an hour and included her stuffed animals. She made sure teddy was well hydrated and even washed his hands after eating. By the end she was tired and made a bed for herself next to her kitchen.

Morning jaunt

When SV goes to school with TV they take the bus, but then they usually have a bit of a walk as well. SV really likes to run along a wall as part of the walk and then jumps into TV's arms for fun. In the photograph below you can see her enjoying herself.
