Yesterday was Australia Day which is the celebration of the beginning of Australia. It is a mix of 4th of July and Picnic Day. It was a load of fun even though we missed out on most of the activities. There were military planes, stunt planes, ferry races, classic car show, vintage buses, and lots of bands and food. Of course there were fireworks and loads of people with Australian flags and jerseys. What was great to see was how almost everyone was dressed up and in a good mood, enjoying the great weather. People seemed very into the holiday.
