The girls had a casual start to the morning. SV started by doing a bit of sewing to fix Horsey's pants even before she had breakfast. MV made toast with avocado and vegiemite for them all. EV was happy to sit and then eat. She loves that breakfast. Setsuna also relaxed in her bed and didn't rush out, she also appreciated being left alone.
MV wrapped up her soccer season on a sunny morning next to the harbour. She had a really mixed day where she stood around part of the time and then alternated with playing really well when she tried. It was a bit of a summary of her season really where she played well when she put in the effort. Her sisters watched for a while before going to practice long jumping and playing in the sand. They came to watch the end of the match and to partake in the sausage sizzle of course.
KT and TV managed to eek out a day off together without having any responsibilities, or at least suspended responsibilities. They had brunch in the city before going to see a film in the fancy theatre.
KT was working on a few things so TV took the girls to a couple of parks for a play. We took the remote controlled cars to the second park for a bit of a play. They proved to be quite a hit. We went to one new park and another one we drive by all the time but hadn't ever stopped at before. It was quite fun to explore them both.
It is again time for another edition of crazy hair day. The girls again put their own spin on it and came up with different ways to do their hair. Somehow all of the combs came home with SV at the end of the day, we were pleasantly surprised.
After the running MV went and played a number of skills based games. The first one involved rolling a ball on to a mat with a target on it. It was sort of like bowls and curling mixed together. Afterwards she went inside for giant versions of games like connect four and jenga.
MV and SV had their sports carnival but unfortunately they were at different places. Here are some photographs from MV taking part in the running, skipping and hopping races. MV is quite fast but for some reason she was doing a fast jog during the races, we're not quite sure why. She had loads of fun though.
