After school the girls found some plants and decided to put them in the pots in the backyard. They really enjoy doing a bit of gardening actually. These plants are going to be lucky to survive though as they were mostly found on the side of the road, literally plucked from the gutter. We'll see though.
We went to pick up MV after school but had to wait for her to get back from her swimming class. EV and SV got to play on the school playground and really had fun together. It's a good thing too because the playground is about to be closed for refurbishment and upgrade.
EV was asked to self entertain because we were busy trying to work on stuff. So she took out the chalk and worked on colouring in the triangles on the porch. She was working on mixing chalk colours to see how they would turn out.
After all that shopping the girls took a little break to play some arcade games. They tried their luck at the claw game but didn't quite succeed this time. Afterwards we went to an art supply shop but before we did we took photographs with the weird waving unicorn out front. Mixed reactions from the girls on that.
The girls wanted to go to the shops to start getting Xmas presents for everyone and to have a look at what they could put on their own wish lists. It was quite fun as they were excited by all the possibilities at hand.
KT took EV to be a tourist around Sydney. They got to ride the ferry to Circular Quay and do all sorts of fun things. EV got to do whatever she wanted including having cake for lunch! It was another spectacular spring day for them which made it even better. The original reason for the excursion was to try to find the rabbits that lived under the Harbour Bridge, but they couldn't find any. Perhaps they moved on.
EV and KT decided to have a beach day together. It was great weather and very few people since it was mid week. They had a great time playing on the beach and in the water, albeit briefly as the water was still cold.
