2017 advent calendar

SV and MV both got an advent calendar this year, and they were really excited to get into them. SV really liked her lego one, and MV liked the chokkie one quite a bit. SV showed MV how to find the number and open the square of the day. She is being a good big sister.

Putting up the decorations part 2

We moved to the outside of the house to decorate the front yard. The girls were more excited to hang the decorations up there. After finishing out front, both the little helpers were happy for a break to relax a bit.

Putting up the decorations part 1

Both the girls really got into the xmas decorating this year. They were keen to help, although not necessarily in actually hanging the decorations. They were more interested in pulling everything out of the boxes and organising it.

One more birthday party for the year

Isis was having her birthday party and the girls got all ready to go. It's likely to be the last birthday party for us before the xmas party season kicks off. SV is quite happy as it means no more having to eat cake. Both the girls were happy about this party as they got to both run around outside and paint. Pretty much two of their favourite activities.

Chinese garden of friendship continued

While the gardens are not large, they are very well laid out. They are also home to quite a few different animals, including some cheeky lizards that we saw everywhere. We had fun exploring, and even getting a little lost in the bamboo forest. The girls also liked running up the crooked corridor. After a final rest we looked for the last of the zodiacs before we headed home. Good naps for everyone once we got home which was great.

Chinese garden of friendship

The girls haven't been to the Chinese gardens in Sydney yet, so we made a bit of a trip out of it. SV got a map and instructions to find the 12 zodiac signs throughout the garden, and she took it very seriously. She was quite focused on finding them all. MV was being a good sidekick and helped her out while just enjoying the surroundings.

Darling Harbour picnic

After the dentist appointment we took advantage of the nice weather and had a picnic lunch in Darling Harbour. We hadn't been there for quite a while and so it was really nice to be there again. The girls really enjoyed their lunch, including being able to kick back and relax. They then had a turn on the stationary bikes before trying some of the other equipment out.
