Since KT and SV were sick and TV had to start driving to Canada, Babicka looked after the girls. They went to Fairytale Town for a bit of a play. The girls had fun despite it being a really hot day. They did cool down a bit with some sprayed water. That meant they could keep going and explore the entire park.
The girls have really been enjoying taking advantage of the pool. All of this swimming has meant that the girls have kept up their swimming prowess and enjoyed themselves. Swimming laps and training has been good but sometimes plain, unstructured fun is what a kid needs.
We continued to see the rest of the museum before heading back home. After we explored the energy grid exhibit the rest of the exhibits were a bit more hands on. There were some that involved the kids building various things before finishing up on a space exhibit.
We went to the Sacramento science museum to see what it was all about. It was a good opportunity to get out of the heat and learn a few things at the same time. The exhibits were a bit mixed with some like the UCDMC imaging one being pure advertising while others like the water management exhibit being very engaging and educational. The girls had a good time enjoyed the hands on and creative exhibits.
While KT, Ron and Grandma CeCe were sick we went to their pool to give them some positive energy and to burn off some of our own. The girls really enjoyed a good swim in the pool.
We stayed and played at Babicka's house for most of the day. The legos and board games proved to be irresistible. As did of course the waterfall and pool. We had a good time being able to relax and just spend time together. Afterwards we met up with Uncle Rich and Auntie Jeanna for a movie and dinner. It was really a nice day.
We spent the night at Babicka's house to talk about the wedding and to take it easy. MV really enjoyed driving around on the property and created bus stops for her to pick up people from. In the end she only ended up picking up things. We also had a nice dinner and just chatted before bed. A fitting end to the celebratory weekend.
