After being on the road for several days exploring Morocco we headed back to Marrakech for a few more days. After leaving Agdz we went over a pass where a coffee van was parked to provide coffee to travellers. There was also a guy with two lizards which the girls were keen to hold. The view from there was also quite spectacular. We eventually stopped for lunch at a really good roadside restaurant. Some of us posed with a flag of personal significance.

Exploring Agdz
MV and TV went off with Aziz to explore Agdz for a while the others had a rest at the riad. MV got to see some of the varieties of palm being grown in the valley and some of the other crops as well. We tried a broad bean of some sort which raw tasted really nice. MV made a donkey friend along the way too before we took in some gorgeous views of the city from above.

Arriving into Agdz
Sadly we had to move on from the Sahara which we all enjoyed. We stopped in to see a place where a small group of men practiced a local kind of music and we watched a short performance which was quite nice. Afterwards we headed to the city of Agdz which was situated in another valley. The drive was long so we really appreciated our lunch stop where we had nice food overlooking another small town. Getting to our riad in Agdz was really nice and the girls could not wait to go hop in the pool which was quite refreshing after a day of driving.

Camping in the Sahara
We got to camp in the Sahara but it was certainly an upscale kind of camping with hot water and comfortable beds. We were actually the only guests in the resort so had it all to ourselves. It was so peaceful and tranquil as a result. Although we also got to watch some of the people make a fire and play songs and dance. It was partially for our benefit but mostly fun for them. We really enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful oasis in the desert. EV and MV also really enjoyed riding in the back of the ute on the way out, which was of course super fun for them.

Fun in the desert
When we stopped we also had a bit of fun while we waited for the sun to set. In the end the sunset was fairly ordinary. It didn't matter though because being in the desert and playing in the dunes was so exciting and beautiful.

More camel riding
We proceeded to head into the desert for a while and the trainer would stop to take photographs of us every once in a while. We of course took heaps of photographs as well. We enjoyed it but after 30 minutes or so we were happy for a little stop.

4 leg drive into the Sahara
We were all quite excited to meet the camels which would take us into the Sahara and eventually our waiting tents. The girls were so very excited to see, pat and ride camels. KT and TV have had a 'sunset' camel ride once before at Cable Beach in Western Australia, but the sunset never quite eventuated. So we all hoped for a better outcome. Our camels and camel trainer were all very friendly. The girls learned the names of their camels in Arabic and then proceeded to make up stories about them.
