Working on the railway

We got back to building and finished off the rest of the carriages for our second train. When we ran it on our track it turned out that the grade was too steep and we got too much wheel spin to get to the top. That meant we had to go back to the drawing board including getting more track. Eventually we got everything working again. SV was excited and set up her Lego building workshop.

Dinner with our mates

SV and TV caught up with some of our mates for Slovak food. We also played a few games and had a great conversation that went all over the place. We all had a fun, even SV who did not exactly mind being the centre of attention.

Lego train build

It has been a while since we have built a Lego train and so it was with relish that SV and TV got to building. They set up the track which now included an elevated viaduct section. Then they got to building the second train. SV gave the entire set up a test run before calling it a day.

SV's first concert

SV had her first concert. She was excited and nervous at the same time. We walked to the secondary school and she kept on chatting the whole way. Once she got to the venue she was happy to talk to all of her friends. During the performance she did quite well but she thought she could have done better. Overall she was very positive and is looking forward to the next performance.

Starting a chess game

SV and TV started a game of chess. It was a good opportunity since we had some time while we had dinner. SV is keen to learn how to play well and maybe joining the chess club at school.

Working on a card

SV has been missing the rest of the family and wanted to make a card for them to share how she feels. It is really sweet and she is excited to give it to them when they get home.
