Couple of good views

We did a bit of walking but were rewarded with some stunning vistas. Until a couple of goofy characters got in the way that is. On such a lovely day we got a great view of the Three Sisters after stopping in at the Waradah cultural centre where we originally wanted to see a show but instead looked at aboriginal art. The Three Sisters didn't disappoint and surprisingly we managed to get a space for ourselves despite the huge crowds.

Jellybean Pool and Red Hands Cave

We went up to the Blue Mountains on a bit of a tour to take in some aboriginal sites. Our first stop was Jellybean Pool, mostly because of the name. It also gave us a chance to dip our feet on a hot day. SV really enjoyed walking and climbing in nature. She also enjoyed our walk to the Red Hands Cave which has aboriginal art dating back 1,600 years. She was really interested in how the hand prints were made. On the way back she pretended to be a teddy bear and painted her nose black with soot from a tree, something she learned on one of her school excursions.

Kung fu SV

SV just got her second belt at kung fu and to celebrate here are a few photographs of her working on her skills. She has improved quite a bit since starting and it shows.

False alarm

SV had a notice from school saying that there was an infestation of lice. TV thought that he may have seen some eggs in her hair so we took some precautions to limit any potential for outbreak. After careful coming and washing of hair it seems that it was a false alarm, thankfully. At least SV has wonderfully smooth and silky hair.

Getting ready to fly

The morning that KT and MV were leaving to go on their trip the girls were super sweet to each other. SV was quite sad, but MV was excited and ready to hit the road. SV was very helpful in getting MV ready for the road and wanted to spend as much time with her as possible.

Cuddles in bed

MV was getting quite excited at the prospect of her flight while SV was a bit sad. MV took it upon herself to cheer up her sister with a bit of rough housing and cuddles. Then she was really sweet and put SV to sleep. They are getting to be such good buddies. It's really good to see.

Enjoying the cool morning

Now that it is starting to be autumn, we are starting to have a couple of cool mornings. The girls really enjoyed putting on a few layers and playing together. SV worked on a sticker puzzle while MV read a book. Setsuna just sat in her cage trying to stay warm, as soon as the sun started warming things up she was quite happy.
