The girls got to catch up and have a picnic with our friends the Postles as restrictions are very slowly being wound back. They had a good time running around with their friends but they were exhausted at the end of it. They must be out of playdate shape.
MV and SV got to have a nice morning with KT who taught them a little bit about putting on makeup. They then went downstairs and made pancakes from scratch, almost entirely by themselves. They even cleaned up the mess afterwards. We were really impressed. They had fun doing it and enjoyed the fruits of their labours at the end too.
The girls had an intense gaming session. They were really focused and hardly even noticed us taking photographs.
EV's new wrestling name is Senora Yellow Hat. She was ready to wrestle anyone who was interested but ultimately she would rather pose for photographs.
After dinner we all sat and had an impromptu couple of portraits. Sasha just really wanted to do it so we all happily obliged.
We went for a walk to have a look at a number of the community gardens in the neighbourhood. There are a fair few that the local residents have cultivated. One of our friends is involved in one of the gardens which we stopped to see. There is also a Where's Wally hunt in the neighbourhood as there are Wallys hidden everywhere for the kids to find. It was quite fun for all of us.
The girls went back in the pool since he warm weather persisted. The water was a little bit warmer so they stayed in for a while. Eventually they got out though and laid around warming up in the sun. EV preferred to do a bit of yoga in the sun rather than read.
