To work

KT was heading off to work, and as a special treat TV and SV (in her stylish robe) took her there in a borrowed car.

From school

Both KT and TV had a day off from work so we went and picked up little SV from school. She showed us her lunch menu and art of the day. When we picked her up she was covered in sunscreen which was nicely mixed with sweat and sand from playing outside. She was surprised to see both of us, but was quite happy for a family reunion. All three of us then walked to the shops to get out of the heat for a little while and have dinner before heading home.

Cleaning out her drawers

SV is a very busy toddler, always willing to help out around the house. This time she decided to help organise and sort out the clothes in her drawers. She is a bit surprised that we were watching her, presumably we were supposed to be cleaning out our clothes too.

Going swimming

We took SV swimming because it has been a while since she has last been. It was good to see that she still really enjoys it and was very happy to get back in. She didn't even wait for us to hold her before trying to get in, which is something we need to work on.

Banksy

SV has a new favourite book by the street artist Banksy. She seems to appreciate the political satire of his street art. At the moment she is in a very artistic phase where she is reading art books and her favourite activity is drawing in various media. Of course her love of dance has not diminished at all.

Baby cyclist

For Christmas we got a baby bicycle seat so we can go for rides. First time we put her in the seat she did not like it, but now she has gotten used to it and she even likes it. The helmet isn't really her favourite though, but she tolerates it so she can go on the bicycle. Once we get going she really likes to be on the bicycle so she can point at things, often she talks and sings to herself as we go.

 

SV's first year

For those of you who have been following our blog for the last year or so, or those that want a recap in one place we are releasing a PDF version of all the blog posts from SV's first year. The book was put together by SV's Grandma Marta with some help from TV and KT. It was a big job to put the book together and get the layout together. Baby balloon

SV has a bit of a love hate relationship with balloons. She used to be scared of balloons but now she has a healthy respect for them. Here are a couple of photographs of her interaction with a balloon.
