On Easter Sunday we woke up with a little bunny bouncing into our bedroom. She came in so quickly that she didn't even notice the little basket of goodies that was waiting for her on the couch. Once she found it though, she says very excited. Eventually KT takes her into painting eggs as well, which led to some intense concentration.

Babushka
SV wanted to explore her Slovak heritage by wearing a semi traditional headdress. She was in the process of putting up her art when we took these photographs.

Angus and Harriet stay over
The doctor/midwife kit came out a number of times, and inevitably Angus ended up being the patient. The girls also enjoyed being princesses and ballerinas in their dress up clothes. Angus was just Angus, but he enjoyed typing on the computer and playing with the electric toothbrush.

Angus and Harriet stop in
SV's friends Angus and Harriet came over for the day and they got right into playing. There were a few disagreements but overall they played well together. We played with them as well, by which we mean acted as referees. When it came to eating though, they were all quite happy, especially when they got their hot cross buns.

Little doctor
SV really took to playing with her nurse/midwife/doctor kit. The name changes depending on what she feels like being at the time. When have all been diagnosed and cured of all sorts of ills.

Easter Show continued
Uncle Jarryd would be proud because when SV saw the RFS firetruck she really wanted to climb in and drive. She really had fun driving and wearing the helmet and playing with the radio. After the firetruck we walked to the wood chopping arena where the final heat for the tree climbing and chopping was a bout to take place. There was only standing room but we managed to get a good spot along with an inflatable axe. SV and Nick really liked it.
We then had a break to check out the fresh food hall before getting a tasty cheese sandwich. SV almost got through her entire sando before she fell asleep. Even the lure of the showbag tent couldn't wake her up, which frankly was a good thing as she was exhausted and needed the sleep. When she woke up we headed home as the rain was starting to get heavy anyway. At the station she examined her showbag loot which we picked out for her. She decided that we made a good choice.

First sleep over
SV went and spent the night at her friend Harriet's house. Apparently she had a great time.

The 2015 Royal Easter Show
This year we headed to the Royal Easter Show with Uncle Nick who has not been before despite living in Sydney for 7 years. The weather was a bit a suspect but we had our wet weather gear with us and refused to get deterred. SV has developed a bit of a soft spot for Uncle Nick, perhaps because he doesn't mind playing games with her.
At the show we headed into the animal barns so that SV could pat the animals and also to get out of the passing shower. SV liked the rams with their big horns and a number of the funny varieties of chickens and ducks. She was a bit intimidated by the turkeys though. We didn't really have a lunch but we did eat various fun fair foods.
