The girls were happy to be home and be able to practice their skating in the backyard. They had fun practicing with not too many falls. A little bit of competition helped them both improve, although they soon started helping each other out and coming up with games.
After a big day we decided to just have an easy evening. We ordered pizza and watched a movie. Afterwards we had jelly for dessert which proved to be quite popular.
After working on our long game we changed focus to our putting. The girls enjoyed practicing that as it was funny to them to see the ball drop into the hole. Plus they got to play with the flag.
Since we were staying so close to the golf course we decided to go play a round. We hired a cart because it was raining and it gave us a bit of shelter as we made our way around the course. The girls were super excited to be able to drive the cart, with supervision of course. They also enjoyed hitting the ball around a bit as well, but clearly the cart was the highlight.
KT went for a jog around the lake while everyone else played at the park. It was quite enjoyable as everyone found things to do. We even saw a big koala in the tree, strangely it was wearing a red jumper. Eventually the ducks proved to be even more interesting than the playground and we spent quite a bit of time looking at them, including the ducklings.
We went back to Wentworth Falls Lake to see the part of the walk that we missed the other day. We were glad we did because it was quite fun to go to the jetty sticking out into the lake. A certain someone want to stick out even further out into the lake. It was a fun little walk and towards the end we found some ducks to look at too.
It was a wild and unpredictable year this 2020. We certainly fared much better than a lot of people and we were lucky enough to end it having a lovely dinner at the local golf club. The food was delicious and we ended up with a couple of very interesting art pieces. It was actually quite a nice with everyone being in a really good mood.
