MV has really been asking for roller skates for the last couple of months. She was super excited to get them. All three sisters were quite keen on the skates and EV cried when she had to take them off. She was consoled by getting to stand on the car bonnet. MV was super excited to try out the skates and was only slightly deterred when she fell on her bum. A pillow in the pants quickly resolved that issue and she continued rolling.
The girls were quite excited to get back to opening gifts after breakfast. They had more than enough to go through. They really enjoyed taking their time and having a chance to appreciate each of their gifts. They played or explored every item for at least a little while before moving on to open another present.
MV was quite excited about her glider and was quite keen to fly it. We went outside so she had a bit more space to fly though. She also wanted to have a bit more flight time so she climbed up as high as she could. She had a number of successful flights before we finished up.
The girls were really excited in the morning to see what Santa brought in their stockings. They really enjoyed and appreciated their gifts, taking time to play and try out each of them.
The girls continued opening a few more gifts before it was time to stop. After we stopped we all got in the car and went for a drive around the neighbourhood to look at all of the decorations. Despite all the hardships this year, there were still lots of nicely decorated houses all around.
After writing a letter on the whiteboard for Santa we all came to the tree to open a few presents. The girls were really excited to start opening presents from family and us. They were also quite confident that Santa would bring them a few things in the morning too. Regardless they were quite excited about what they got, to be fair so were we.
