Sydney Park before lunch

We finally went to Sydney Park which we have been going past for years without stopping. The park underwent an expansion and was just being opened this weekend so we were some of the first people to get to enjoy the new areas including the water features. SV really enjoyed riding her bike and scooter, before jumping on the rocks over the water. Then we went to the great playground where she ran around while KT and MV had a cuddle and a feed. TV taught SV how to roll down a grassy hill, although this still needs a bit of work as she kept starting her roll but quickly turning to be parallel with the slope. After a bit of rolling we all sat down for a rather windy lunch. It was fun despite the challenging conditions.

Big cheeks

SV has taken to listening to her stories and even regular music on her headphones. She seems to like the privacy it affords her while still being close to the action and not be lonely. MV has been quite mouthy lately and is learning to suck her hand and possibly thumb. In this case KT's shoulder did just fine.

Picnic in the park

KT and the girls went to the gym before getting some treats for a picnic in the park. It was a lovely sunny winter day and we took advantage. SV enjoyed running around and looked for flowers one of which she took home. MV enjoyed being held and looking around. On the way home SV refilled on water in mid walk.

Hanging out in the kids room

MV and SV hung out in the kids room with TV while KT caught up on some much needed sleep. They both had fun doing their own activities. MV mostly looked at the mobiles above her and smiled. SV did some colouring in and is learning to stay within the lines. Based on memory she coloured in the mermaid as Ariel without any help. The sweetest part though was when they both had a rest next to each other.

SV was having a dance recital in her class and MV dressed up for the occasion. She looked rather classy while SV looked great in her dance outfit as well. SV did a great job dancing and had a lot of fun doing it. The fun continued at home because where she pretended to be a happy face as she was still enjoying her success at dance.

Going to dinner

We all went out and met up with some of TV's work friends for dinner. We went to one of the best pizza places in Sydney which also not only happens to be a favourite of ours but is also quite close. Both the girls were very well behaved and got to talk to everyone.

Morning time

In the morning SV and MV enjoy playing together in their one piece pajamas. First they played in their room and then they came out to play with KT a well. Pink bear again made an appearance as it's currently a favourite.
