On a pleasant afternoon the girls were playing outside and enjoying themselves. We made a couple of portraits of them.

Happy Australia Day 2017

For the second year running we went to our friend Sam's house for Australia Day. Again we had a good time despite the overcast weather as all of the activities unfolded right in front of us. What better way to celebrate Australia then with the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House as the backdrop.

Playing in the backyard

The girls are really enjoying having the backyard to play in. We like it too as it gives them extra space outdoors which is safe and we can mostly leave them to be creative. They manage to play there together for hours without us being constantly on watch. Inventing their own fun and using their imaginations outside is something that we are very supportive of.

Morning chocolate

MV is starting to transition into a normal chair with a booster. She is pretty excited to be out of her high chair. SV is now making her own hot chocolates thanks to Grandma Cece's magic cup.

Princess swimmers

The castle became a play area with all sorts of reading and and games. As it got warmer in the afternoon the pool became fun again. They again played really well together, clearly having fun.

Pool princesses

It was a warm day so the girls wanted to play outside so TV set up the pool and the princess castle. They really enjoyed both activities.

Picking up SV

SV got a little bit emotional leaving the child care centre for the last time. Having MV there helped though. They played together for a bit before SV went and found all of the teachers and gave them a big hug. Last of all was Kerrie, who was her first teacher and one of her favourite throughout. It was a fitting end to her child care days.
