The girls went on their traditional tiny train ride, but for the first time got to go all by themselves. We then headed over to the animal pens to look at the various farm animals. There were all sorts of pigeons, chickens, ducks, turkeys, sheep, pigs and goats. The girls then learned how to turn wheat into noodles before the older two took part in a cooking class. They made egg and salad sandwiches. Then we had a little fairy floss as a reward and of course some people made beards.
After not going for possibly two years because of Covid, we finally made it to the 2022 Easter Show. We took the train and headed to the little farm area. The girls got to do several farm related activities like gathering produce and feeding fake animals. They also got to ride real ponies and fake bouncy ponies before getting rewarded with a healthy snack at the end.
Setsuna officiated the egg hunt this year to make sure that everything was in order. The hunt got off to a hot start with everyone going after those eggs straight away. EV was right in there amongst it too, now knowing what to do. At the end there were only a few clues required to get the rest of the eggs. Setsuna was satisfied with the way the hunt was conducted and that everything was above board and to her satisfaction. For her part, she was rewarded with a nice fresh piece of kale.
The girls came downstairs to find a bunch of Easter goodies prior to the egg hunt. Babicka sent several things for the girls. After they looked through their stuff they had a warm up round of egg hunting inside before having breakfast.
We went to have some dumplings because it had been quite some time. Afterwards we went to run off some of that energy at a nearby park which we had never visited before. The girls had quite a good time climbing the structure.
We went to feed our friend's fish and took advantage of their offer to jump on their trampoline. The girls had some fun but they were in a bit of a grouchy mood and yelled at each other almost as much as they jumped on the trampoline. They still had fun though.
Happy easter, and to celebrate more bunnies. We are watching out friend's rabbit while they are away. Coco and Setsuna explored each other's cages before meeting face to face. Surprisingly, Setsuna became very territorial and got into a scuffle with Coco. She was not having any of this new inter-hopper coming into her house and trying to enthrone herself. We now have to be careful about their interactions. Good thing they are cute.
