We really wanted to have one more beach day and the kids wanted to go to their favourite beach, Cliffton Gradens. It was a nice day and the water quality finally settled down after all the heavy rains. The kids absolutely really enjoyed the beach and downright frolicked. It was really fun to watch.
It was really great to catch up with Jake and Eva one more time and doing a fun activity like an Escape Room, which was SV's idea. It was very fortunate because they only just got back from the UK and the timing was perfect. We had a really nice time seeing them and speaking to them. The Escape Room ended up being the perfect activity before we went and had an ice cream and said our good byes.
We were catching up with our friends in the CBD but decided to go in early to make the most of the day and to have one last wander through. We mostly walked through the southern part of the CBD including Chinatown before going further north to see our friends.
SV got an invite to her friend Piero's birthday party which he moved ahead of his birthday just so that she could attend. She had a fantastic time since all of her really good friends were also invited. It was her last chance to see all of her friends together at the same time before we flew out.
We took the kids to the park which was right next to the house and they had fun for a short time. Then they started whinging about how it was a bit boring and not safe because the swings all swung into the centre and if more than one kid jumped off at the same time they could crash into each other. So once it started sprinkling we decided to go back.
The girls got to say one last good bye to LPS before we headed off. We are so glad that all three of them got to attend the school and create some wonderful memories and friends. Even though EV only had a very short time there, she still had a massive connection with the school because of her sisters. The older two of course have a huge amount of affection towards LPS and the community there. They had some tough times, but they larned and grew from them which made the good times all the better. We will all miss the community and the wonderful friendships made there.
After over 8 years of living in our house it was time to move out and say good bye. It was quite emotional as we had so many important life milestones happen in that house. We managed to make it through the Covid pandemic there and had so many wonderful memories. Sufficet to say that it was tough to say good bye.
