The drop off was really good as we got to see everyone off to class. All our nerves were settled as we all figured out what had to be done. MV's teacher was a bit early getting the class inside so we had to find the classroom and get MV in. Turned out to be a great morning and when they were picked up, all the girls were very positive.
We found out that there was a cat cafe just around the corner from our house. So after a short rest after shopping we headed to the cafe to pat the cats. We hadn't been able to go to other animal cafes while in Japan so it was a real treat to be able to go this time. The cats were quite relaxed and friendly so the girls all got to pat several of the cats without feeling rushed. Afterwards KT and TV went out for what turned out to be the best meal of the trip at a small restaurant not far from our house. It was amazing food being prepared by a fantastic chef whose movements were so precise that it was like watching a magnificent performance.
This post is interupting the usual programing to provide an update on the girls' first day of school in Sacramento. After a truly amazing couple of months the girls are starting to settle down into a bit of a routine and starting school is further contributing to that. They were all very excited but also a little nervous to start. They had fun playing a game before getting into the car and heading off.
We went to back to the main shopping precinct in Osaka to check out a couple more shops including the Nintendo and Pokemon stores. They did not disappoint as they had so much fun stuff. It was such a pleasure to see those shops and enjoy seeing so many versions of our favourite characters. We managed to restrain ourselves and only get a few things though and focus more on the experience. The main reason we specifically went there though, was because that was where the Osaka Expo shop was with merch featuring blood clot, or at least that's what we named the mascot.
We went to do a bit of shopping and found some fun and interesting streets to do so. This was certainly a tourist attraction but there were plenty of Japanese people shopping too. We also found the proper shopping centre as well, but the fun signs and lights were great. It highlighted just how fun and vibrant Osaka is as a city.
