MV's 3rd birthday

MV was quite excited about her birthday this year. She is certainly more aware of the significance and implications of a birthday. She had quite a nice day and enjoyed herself quite a bit. She is also looking forward to her party with some of her friends.

Finishing up at Disney Sea

We explored more of the park including Agrabah of Aladdin. We also went on the Sinbad's Storybook Voyage which was an alternate version of It's a Small World, with a much less annoying song. MV also found her current favourite character and asked to get a photograph next to him. We went on a fun water ride and didn't even let the rain stop us from having fun. At last though it was time to catch the train back to the entrance of the park and catch the bus home. We were all still too excited to fall asleep, luckily the bus didn't take long to get us home.

Ariel's grotto

After meeting Ariel we went to visit her grotto. There were heaps of things to do, and the rides there were well suited for MV and to a lesser extent SV. Goofy found us and wanted to take some photographs with us too. The girls thought it was pretty funny. The tea cups were popular by (almost) all too.

Disney Sea

Since we had been to two Disneylands with the girls we decided to try out another one in Japan. This time though we went to Disney Sea which includes all of the sea themed Disney characters and then some. We had a bit of a rough start with the girls being quite tired from the day before. Ended up being ok as they had a bit of a nap on the high quality bus we took to the theme park. Once we got there we started the day with a show on the lagoon before making our way through the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea area. After trying out some silly hats MV got to ride her very first roller coaster which was also SV's second roller coaster. They both enjoyed it and some of the other rides we went on. After a few rides we decided to try the various snacks including the various flavoured pop corns which are the thing to get there. All the snacks were actually really quite good, and not too expensive. The girls got to meet Ariel after seeing her show which was a bit of a highlight.

Evening stroll to dinner

After a good nap we went out for a nice evening stroll to find some tasty sushi for dinner. It was great to walk through Shinjuku with its neon lights and loads of people. We ended up finding a great sushi restaurant where we all got everything we wanted, including some special requests by the kids. After dinner we continued walking around for a bit before finally heading home to turn in.

Getting some lunch

On the way back home we stopped for a bit of a look at the temple grounds before lunch. We had some delicious karaage chicken. We then headed back on the train but not before making a stop at the vending machine.
