At the River Safari

Singapore has an animal park area and so we went to have a look. We didn't want to go to the regular zoo, and the night safari aparently got quite busy, so we went to the River Safari. It had displays of river animals from around the world. It was a different concept and we were curious. The locals seemed quite friendly and welcomed us with open arms, although we were a bit skeptical after the warning signs. SV appreciated the activities for kids and collected all the stamps in her passbook to get her prize at the end. 

Late lunch at Red Hill hawker centre

We stopped by the Red Hill hawker centre for a late lunch but first we walked around. The fish shop was quite interesting as it not only had fish but also frogs, newts and other criters. We each had two juices and a tasty lunch. Afterwards we caught the metro back to our hotel and relaxed in the lounge for a little while.

SV and the dolphins

We got to go see the dolphins and get in the water with them. SV was absolutely enthralled and enjoyed her experience heaps. It was quite a special experience with both SV and TV really enjoying it. The dolphins were really well trained and seemed happy to interact with us.

Water park fun

It was a fun day at the water park, especially once SV rode all of the slides and felt comfortable. We went on pretty much all the slides and did all of the activities before lunch. We even had a snorkel in the artificial reef pool. We also didn't mind when the clouds came in and it sprinkled a little bit since we were already wet anyway.

Heading to Adventure Cove

We woke up a bit later and relaxed for a bit before going down for breakfast. It was delicious and we decided to cap it off with a milk tea from across the road. SV got an S top which made her happy and set good tone for the day. We took a taxi to Sentosa and walked to the water park, stopping along the way to look at things since we were a bit early.

Dinner and a show amongst the super trees

We had a pretty nice dinner of dumplings which made SV happy. We then went to the grove of super trees at Gardens by the Bay, which are basically towers with all sorts of tropical plants growing on them. SV was impressed, and even more so when the show started and the lights flashed in time to various hit opera songs. Her favourite songs were those from Carmen which she is now somewhat familiar.

History of Disney animations

We got to go see the Disney animation exhibit as well. It was fun and quite interesting, it wasn't quite as engaging as the other art instalations. There were quite a few interactive bits in this exhibitions as well, albeit a bit more slower paced. SV's bunny friend probably had the most fun though as he / she got to participate a fair bit.
