Hanging out with Tessa and family

We got to spend one more day with Tessa and the rest of the family. We had a good lunch in the park before TV attempted to throw the kids in the pond (not really). We then got to play a bit more at home for good measure.

Heading back down the hill

After some intense snow days full of fun we had to head back down the hill. In the morning we again woke up to more snow and another storm passing through. The girls loved it and it kept them occupied while we packed up.Just before we left Tahoe we stopped in for some burgers and a corn dog for the kids which kept us fortified until we got back. Uncle Richie and Auntie Jeanna had a nerve racking drive back as his car was making some ugly noises from the SV joint. Luckily we all made it back safely. We had a nice beverage while EV got to lay in the snow in the back of the ute since she didn't get to play as much in it in the mountains.

Pleasant evening

Back in the hotel we had a pleasant evening opening a few more gifts. Everyone enjoyed their gifts, particularly the books. For the adults it was nice just to slow down and enjoy some down time together.

Going to the casino

For dinner that is. First we went and stopped at the arcade though. Everyone got to play a little bit but it was MV and SV that got to pick out prizes at the end. The rest of us had a nice buffet dinner as our reward.

MV's first day of skiing

It was also Auntie Jeanna's first time too. They both did quite well. SV did well too even though she was a bit scared and hesitant. It was a nice day and the snow storm managed to stay away long enough for us to get home as well.

First time in Tahoe

For the kids it was the first time being up at Lake Tahoe. It was a bit of a challenge getting up there with all of the falling snow, but the fact it was snowing made it special. Having to put on chains was a bit less special though. Once we got up there the snow became even heavier which worked just fine for the girls. They were happy to do a bit of sledging with Babicka. There were some snow angels made and just plain rolling around in the snow. We had a quick dinner and played a little bit before some of us fell asleep hard.
