Tasty dinner

We found ourselves a tasty Japanese restaurant for dinner, in fact we have never had a bad Japanese meal in Melbourne. SV enjoyed her favorite prawns and edamame. She also tried and enjoyed some crispy chicken. Now we are off to sleep, so this is the last of today's barrage of entries.

Rooftop swimming pool

Just got back from a swim in our hotel's pool. Great views from the 17th floor. SV enjoyed swimming and laughing with about 8 Indian fellows who were learning to swim too.

Eating lunch Melbourne style

Had a great flight in, and now we're enjoying some of the best that Melbourne has to offer before heading to the pool.

SV gets to have her own seat for the first time ever. Only took 31 flights.

Morning coffee

Some mornings, usually on the weekend, KT enjoys a nice cappuccino and lately SV has come to enjoy her babyccinos along side. Some times they sit watching music videos and other times they have some lively chats. This time they are having fun gossiping about the past week.

Success on the merry-go-round

SV had a breakthrough in that she could stand on the merry-go-round and enjoy herself. The first couple of times she tried it she did not like it. She also recently learned to throw bark from her friend Thomas, and which she does pretty much on every occasion now. She also had fun playing with KT on the swings. As we were leaving due to the rain she cast a forlorn eye back on the playground.

Anushka's Birthday

KT 's new friend Punam, who owns the Indian restaurant on our corner, had a small birthday party for one of her daughters. KT helped by bringing some food and doing a fine job decorating. Anushka is wearing the white skirt and denim top, while her sister Ashley is wearing the orange top. Isaac was the sole boy at the event which probably goes a long way to explain his perplexed look.

E-trading

SV has taken to e-trading on the NYSE in the mornings. Here she is watching one of her hot new stocks as it fluctuates with the market. Can you tell how the stocks is doing?

PS SV is not actually playing the stock market as yet, but she should start earning her keep.

YumCha and shopping

We met up with Naomi and Becky to have a bit of YumCha before doing a bit of shopping. We had a stroll through Paddy's Market to look for a battery charger for Naomi before heading to David Jones to look for a little suitcase for SV. We found what we were looking for, and SV took it out for a bit of a spin. More on the suitcase some time in the future.

SV enjoyed the hustle and bustle of YumCha and even managed to get a bit of drawing in on Naomi's pad which she actually got the last time we saw her, which was in Paris. SV gave her a couple of original works to remember her by. SV had fun with Naomi who kept entertaining her in the pram, and she enjoyed running laps with Becky through David Jones. On the way to see Carlos we all stopped to watch some breakdancers perform below, actually we first saw them the day that we met up with the Potipas after they arrived in Sydney. It was a day of past connections resurfacing.

Yael and Stu's engagement party

Yael and Stu invited us out to Castle Hill to their engagement party. So we took two buses out there (only took 2 hours to get there!) and arrived only a little bit late. While she didn't have a say in picking out the present, SV certainly had fun wrapping and subsequently carrying it. We had a good time, and SV had a great time playing with all of the toys Stu's mom had around for her grandkids. She found a giant bunny and enjoyed dancing with it in the middle of the dancing group. But everyone needs a break, so SV missed one song and just watched with the bunny before getting back into it.
