MV got a fairy garden kit and she asked SV to help her build it. They worked on it for quite some time and did a really good job but then a certain small person came through and made a bit of a mess of it. Luckily we managed to rebuild it and everyone was happy.
MV and SV were very quiet outside and then came inside quite excited although still relatively quiet. We were wondering what was going on and found that they had managed to catch on of the many Garden Skinks in the backyard. They were really excited but respectful of the tiny lizard. After holding the skink and looking at it they let it go back outside where it scurried away unharmed.
We took EV to the Sydney Opera House for her first show. Before that we went and had a spot of lunch and a bit of a walk. She really enjoyed looking at the water and chasing the birds. We watched "The Gruffalo's Child" which was quite well done and kept her attention for most of the performance. MV absolutely loved it and SV found it pretty good as well.
KT and MV made window art. There were stencils and stickers which they painted with bright colours. After they dried they were then hung up on our glass doors for decorations. They were both quite focused in their endeavour and enjoyed it.
MV wanted to wear all sorts of her funny new clothes because they were all soft. EV was happy to run around in her nappy and shirt which she picked out, but would have been even happier running around nudie.
We had a quick lunch in the park before the girls ran off to climb trees. The park didn't have a playground but that didn't stop the girls from having a great time. They really enjoyed climbing trees and pretending to be lions and cheetahs.
We did a bit of adventure shopping in more ways than one. The first adventure was that we now have to wear masks when indoors as masks have become mandatory to prevent the spread of Covid, although kids don't necessarily need to wear them. We had mixed results with EV keeping her mask on for a few minutes before it got too irritating. We also went to an adventure store to buy a few pieces of kit which we found wanting after our recent series of adventures.
