Scratching on the table

Luckily they weren't actually scratching the table. Instead they were working on their activity pads while admiring the rainbow balloon. It was hard not to admire the cheerful balloon as it floated around the house with the breeze.

Starting to swim

We went to the pool to help reinforce MV's swimming lessons. She is geting really good now. She can swim a ways by herself and is not afraid to jump right into the pool. She also has no problems putting her face under water and swim. In the meantime SV is working on her back stroke and improving her form in general.

Wrapping up EV's first birhtday

Eventually we cut the cake and people started leaving. We managed to get a couple of family photographs to commemorate the day as well. Then we all pitched in to clean up. Eventually though we all sat back and relaxed enjoying some dinner and entertainment.

EV was happy to have a few cuddles from some of her closest Uncles before heading outside for bubbles. There was a lot of fun and the birthday girl was in the middle of all of it. She seemed to really enjoy the action. We're not sure whether she realised that the whole party was for her, but we reckon she had some idea.

EV's first birthday

EV's first birthday turned into a house party as the silly weather made the park too much of a gamble. It turned out great as everyone comfortably mingled and EV made her way inbetween. She walked and watched her little friends as well as the bigger kids. Everyone stopped to say hi to the birthday girl. The bigger kids also enjoyed getting their faces painted in rather intricate ways. There was also a lovely spread of dairy free food including the birthday cake.

Getting ready for EV's first birthday

Everyone pitched in to get the house in order for EV's first birthday. It was mad dash to get everything done as we intended to do it in the park initially but the rain showers made that less appealing. It was a great day with EV ejoying roaming around checking out the food and other sights.

Jumping on the tiny couch

EV had a bunch of energy in the morning and she ended up jumping on the couch. The other two didn't really care to join in and just watched.
