It was time for EV to graduate from Little Stars as MV did a few years ago. This was possibly even a more emotional graduation as after 8 years and for the first time since Milia took over the centre one of our girls will not attend. EV was really proud and happy to have finished at the centre and was really excited about the graduation. We were very proud of her as well.
At last the last day at Leichhardt Public School came for both SV and MV. SV finished year 6 and MV her year 3. They along with us were very sad to be saying good bye to LPS. Luckily they didn't have to say good bye to all of their friends, but it was still very emotional. Here is a photograph of them on their first day of the year and several from the last day.
SV along with all of her mates were all so very excited for the dance. They had fun chatting and taking photographs together before going inside. SV had a great time and when she came out with her friends was beaming. They all had fun talking, dancing and hanging out.
SV was very excited about her year 6 formal dance. KT helped her get ready and her friends Brontie and Chloe. They had a fun time and really got excited for the dance. We made sure to take some photographs of all of them in the backyard. SV looked really nice and was quite ready for the dance wearing KT's old dress which she then modified for herself.
At the end of the year assembly SV won an award and got to go on stage to receive it from the principal Mr Smyth. The award was for Critical and Creative Thinking. She also handed over her mantle for library leader as well. We were quite proud of her. MV had a fantastic year as well as she was part of the student council. She missed out on an end of year award this year, but she had one last year.
This year it didn't take us too long to ecorate for Xmas since we shipped most of the decorations. We just had our tiny tree and the palm tree xmas pinata. It was actually just fine though as none of us wanted to spend heaps of time doing it.
We went into the city to catch up with friends for Yum Cha and then we went for a beverage. We then walked around the city a little bit. We found the big new Lego shop which was quite popular and full of people. The girls enjoyed looking at the big Aussie constructions and the new sets too.
