Family bike ride

 On this ride KT joined us on a new old bike. It reminded her of her little red bike she had in uni. We rode all around Callan Park and found a few new places.

EV starts drawing people

 MV and EV were working on the whiteboard after dinner and we realised that EV has just started drawing recognisable objects. She has taken a step forward and she could talk about what she was drawing. This time she was working on bugs, specifically spiders. MV has also started to move away from doing simple stick people to more intricate people combined with descriptions. She is working on more abstract lettering as well.

Creating 3D shapes

 One of the assignments the girls had to do was make 3D shapes. They used skewers and tiny marshmallows which proved to be quite a good combination. They had fun doing it and got quite creative. It's possible that one or two marshmallows ended up in their mouths as well. A sweet reward for their creativity.

EV starts building

 She chose to build a wall out of the regular legos. She actually did quite well and only had help from reinforcements once it got really tall and unstable. She was really careful and considered her piece choices as she built.

Finding game

 MV and SV were playing a game where they had to find items in a picture and depending on how many they found, they would move forward that many spaces. They really enjoyed it and played several rounds before packing it away.

3D movie time

 We have been wanting to watch Lion King 3D ever since we got our tv 10 years ago and we finally managed to do it. The girls really liked it. They looked so (back to the) futuristic in their glasses and thought it was good fun. Now we have to see if we can find any other content in 3D. 

Walk and ride

 TV and EV were walking while MV and SV rode their bikes. Although EV was in the pram for part of it as she couldn't quite keep up and because she was being cheeky. This way everyone got outside for a bit of exercise.
