Singapore shopping

We were doing a bit of last minute shopping/staying out of the rain shower. SV didn't seem to mind as she found a friend and then just hung out.

Listening to Leah's guitar

Last time when we were in Singapore, when SV was 11 months old, Leah played the guitar for her. This time Leah played again and SV remembered it and liked it even more. At first she danced and then she got tired and just listened.

Traveling again

SV is off on another adventure and she is ready to go with all of her supplies on her back. Next stop Gold Coast for KT's birthday and to show Nagymama.

Leon, Jenn and Prudence

The main reason we like Singapore is because of ours friends there. Sure it's a fun city with lots to do, but it's the people there that make the difference. It was really nice to spend some time at Leon and Jenn's house along with Prudence and Leah. To be fair they do live in a pretty awesome place with a spectacular view. See for yourself.

Tanjong Beach Club

Once on Sentosa we took an open top shuttle bus to the Tanjong Beach Club for a relaxed lunch by the pool and beach. SV loved it, hardly staying still long enough to have lunch before going for a swim. Actually she got in the pool sort of even before lunch. She didn't mind the beach either, although she was a bit hesitant.

Baby tourist

SV is wearing her new backpack with all of her goodies in it. She had a drink of milk to fortify herself for the journey ahead to Sentosa. Sentosa is a tourist island which has also sorts of activities, including the way you arrive, and we chose to arrive by one of the more scenic routes, the cable car.

Meeting Prudence

We weren't quite sure how SV would act with Prudence who is about 8 months old. We shouldn't have worried though as they got along very well, and SV even shared some of her things.

Sunday 2 June 2013

Nagymama arrives

First thing in the morning we went to pick up Nagymama, SV's Great Grandmother, from the airport. She is visiting us for about a month. We were all excited to see her, and SV recognised and felt comfortable with her straight away. Since it was a Friday, TV had to go to work and SV went to school, but in the afternoon we all reconvened. We went down to Circular Quay for dinner before looking at some of the light installations which are set up for Sydney's annual festival of lights, Vivid. We had a great time despite the huge number of people, but SV got tired and we had to head home a bit early. Once in the bath, she was a happy kid again, although a kid that was looking forward to a good sleep.
