Riding bikes to the park

With winter days like this anything is possible. We rode our bicycles to the park so that SV could get some practice and get her confidence back. MV was also pretty keen for a ride. Going to the park is always a good motivator and this time they both made some friends who rode in on their bikes too. SV and her new friends joined up into a little bike gang which improved her confidence even more. All the activity meant that MV went straight down for a nap once we were got home and SV just wanted to read books to Setsuna.

Paper airplanes

We came downstairs in the morning to find SV working hard on folding a paper airplane. TV had to help with some of the last folds which were a bit difficult. Then it was time to head outside to see how the plan flew. The airframe proved to be air worthy and passed the initial test. It proved fun to fly as well.

Slushy update 2

We got to see Slushy one last time on the ultrasound today. Everything seems to be going well and he/she is growing fine. The first photograph is of the head including the chin and lips. Slushy is a bit camera shy and put her/his hand over the eyes.

Aussie map

The girls were drawing sea creatures on the map of Australia and then wanted to pose on the map. As you do.

Serious and funny

The girls both asked to pose for some photographs. MV wanted to be more funny while SV wanted to be more serious.

Nail biting action

We spent a morning watching the world cup and the girls were captivated. This particular game was very close with lots of nail biting action from both teams. Shortly after the photographs the girls got some 'confetti' to celebrate after each goal.

Morning is warming up

The sun continued to warm up the day and the girls moved on to some of the new rides that have been introduced. They enjoyed them but not quite as much as the big ferris wheel. We also had fun posing in the cut outs, pretty much a required activity now.

Cold morning at Luna Park

It has been a little while since we went to Luna Park and our passes were set to expire. On a chilly but nice morning we headed over for another fun day. The merry-go-round was our first stop but we moved on from there to seek out rides in the sun. Once in the sun we warmed up and had a great time. The girls enjoyed some of their tried and true favourites.
