Backyard portraits

We took advantage of the wonderful autumn light and relaxed atmosphere to make a few portraits of the girls. Some silly and some serious.

On the lookout

We went to our favourite lookout for a bit of a walk with a view. It was good fun although we had a bit of a rocky start. SV was really scared of falling from a cliff but she found that actually the walk was quite safe so she was reassured. MV then got mad because she wanted to explore and we kept getting in the way. The weather was great though and eventually everyone had fun.

Getting ready to head out

In the morning there was fun to be had as the girls enjoyed the mirror. MV also enjoyed singing 'Let it go' at the top of her lungs over breakfast. Then a quick game and we were ready for heading outside for a hike.

Arriving in Leura

We decided to have a bit of a break and go to the Leura in the Blue Mountains. We wanted to have a bit of family time and be able to enjoy the cool weather with a fire. The girls found their rooms and made themselves right at home. They each really liked their room. Once in bed it didn't take long for them to sleep.

Picking her own outfit

MV picked her own outfit and really enjoyed herself. She was really silly, especially when she found her kewpie doll which turned into her magic wand.

Pub lunch for some

Birthday party for others. Hard to say who had more fun, but it is clear who took more photographs.

The 'cake' and the rest of the bday

The finished product was quite nice and tasted great. The single candle was a tactical move which allowed everyone to have a turn blowing it out. High fives all around afterwards were in order before we all got to have some of the 'cake'.
