We went to Pride Day in Victoria Park to watch our friend Auntie Gemma perform a part of her musical. They did really well even with the really humid and hot day. We can't wait to see the whole show. We also walked around looking at all the stalls and activities. We ended up running into heaps of people we knew despite not actually staying for very long.

TV's bike race
TV managed to complete his first cross country race, coming in 10th in his age category. He was satisfied with his results, mostly by the fact he finished the full race only 12 weeks after his elbow surgery. It was a tough race though and TV was well spent by the end of it and very happy to see the finish line.

More of SV's swimming
SV also decided last minute to participate in all of the strokes. She swam a decent backstroke, but just like MV she is still new to the butterfly. She did great and in the end her team won the 4 x 50m freestyle relay with her strong contribution. It was a nail biting affair as it came down to the last few metres. SV was super proud though as she should have been!

SV's last LPS swimming carnival
Contrary to MV, this is SV's last swimming carnival at LPS. She was swimming at against some really stiff competition with girls in her heats having qualified to state meets. Despite that she did great and managed to qualify for the freestyle relay. She had a good breast stroke swim as well. It was quite obvious that some of the faster girls had been doing squads for a while as SV lost a fair amount of time in her starts rather than outright speed.

More of MV swimming
MV also wanted to try her hand at the backstroke and the butterfly. She had never swam the butterfly before at all but gave it a really good go. She kept going back and forth on it but when the time came she was brave and went for it. She did great and swam the whole distance.

MV's first swim carnival
MV was a bit nervous because this was her first swimming carnival but she did fantastically. She did a great job as she swam 50m freestyle and 50m breast stroke in the photographs below. She ended up qualifying for districts in freestyle to be able to swim against other schools in the area.

EV and TV lunch
EV and TV went to get some lunch and to spend some time together. EV had so many questions and it was a really fun lunch for both of them. We then finished it off with a bubble tea to end on a sweet note.
