Getting ready for Mikulas

In preparation for Mikulas the girls put out their shoes. SV even wrote a little letter to Mikulas to pass on a message to Santa. Unbeknownst to us, allegedly Mikulas is Santa’s brother. SV has a great imagination and MV is certainly happy to expand on the concept.

Finishing this year's house

This year we had a bit more variety in the lollies, but we also seemed to have a few more casualties which didn’t end up on the house. It was ok though as it still wasn’t too much. In fact they still have lollies left over from Halloween.

Gingy house

Continuing our annual tradition of decorating a gingerbread house we got one from a difference place this year. The girls likes making it but kept asking where the people were like last year’s house.

EV's first yum cha

We haven’t been to yum cha in ages so we asked Uncle Adam and Uncle Matt to meet us. It was also the first time they had met EV, so it was really fun. Adam found a lot of joy in holding EV. The menu has changed a little bit, luckily for the better.

Shopping time

We needed to go do a bit of shopping so we headed into town. It had been quite some time since we had last gone to Paddy’s Market, so it was quite interesting to see all of the change that has happened. We ran into our friend Punam and her kids which was a nice bonus.

Getting Xmas photos

Since it is EV’s first Xmas we were really excited to go and get photos with Santa done. All three girls were very well behaved and seemed to enjoy talking to Santa. EV even managed to cooperate a bit while it was a slightly harder to get MV to stop talking to him for long enough to get a photograph. In the end we got quite a good photograph without any tears or stress.

Making sparkle slime

SV got a book on how to make slime at home and she has been very keen to try it out herself. She finally had a chance and decided on a pink sparkly slime. Not much of a surprise really. In the meantime EV was happy to entertain herself and MV had a nap.
