We had a little bit of time before our tour of the Ferrera warehouse started so the girls played near the river. The playground was good as it had several things for them to do. Plus, it was really picturesque particularly with the light created by the dramatic clouds. It was also a good way for them to stay warm as the temperature began to decrease.

Fun in Gaia
Once we got to the top of the hill in Gaia we took in the view and the girls ran around a bit. It was quite chilly so we also got some roasted chestnuts. The wind was very bitting so we soon headed back down and saw a giant bunny made of scrap pieces. We had to go see it up close and it was pretty cool.

Exploring Porto
After the studing was finished we went to explore Porto. We found quite a lot of cats and the girls really enjoyed trying to make friends with them with some success. TV meanwhile managed to bash his head on an arch but that didn't stop us. We also found a geocache near the house which made SV really quite exited. We had a really nice lunch at a local place before we headed over to the other side of the river. We decided to go to the top of the bridge via the cable car as a bit of fun. The view from the cable car was fantastic.

When we woke up the girls got to studying before we went out for the day. EV was especially studious but the other two did some good work as well.

More from Óbidos
We continued walking through Óbidos and it's quaint little streets. Eventualy the rain slowed down and it was even more enjoyable. The stopped in for a quick bite to eat which ended up being less quick, but absolutely delicious. We also went to visit what we thought was a church, but it was actually a cool bookstore.

Visiting Óbidos
We were driving from Lisbon to Porto and wanted to find a place to have lunch. KT found Óbidos along the way and we stopped in. When we got out of the car it was very windy and rainy but we persevered. We were glad we did as this walled city was certainly worth stopping at. After warming up with a local drink served in chocolate cups we walked through the main gate and made our way to the top of the wall to have a good look.

More from Quinta da Regaleira
The most famous landmark at Quinta da Regaleira are the two wells. The bigger of which has 9 levels which we walked down. There are some tunnels which together with the well were used for initiation rituals. We found a few strange creatuares at the bottom instead. We also got to walk through the main building which is ornate both inside and out.
