Geology lesson with Uncle William and Auntie Lanie

SV borrowed Uncle Richie's rock collection because she was curious about all of the various rocks he had collected. Who better to talk about rocks than a geologist like Uncle William (although technically he is a hydrologist he still had to deal with plenty of rocks). Auntie Lanie also proved to be quite knowledgeable and the three of them had a rocking good time. MV was less interested in rocks and much more interested in crawling all over Uncle William once he was sitting in his big chair.

Ladies in dresses

We were heading out to ladies tea, so our two little ladies got all dressed up. They were both pretty excited to wear dresses although MV list ingest pretty quickly.

Breakfast at the Peckhams

Auntie Yen and Uncle Aaron invited over to have breakfast with them. We were excited to do so because we also got to see Brenda and Doug. They prepared a lovely meal for us and heaps of activities for SV. MV really enjoyed being played with and being fed. It was hard for SV to decide whether she liked painting or reading better.

Around the World Party 2

We held a party for all of our family and friends in the Sacramento area to celebrate our arrival and specifically MV. A big thank you to Grandma CeCe for organising everything. Everyone seemed to have a good time and MV even managed to have a nap. She really did well meeting a bunch of new people without being upset. There was a lot of dancing led by SV who again danced the night away. Although she did take some time to visit the photo booth for a couple of funny photographs. At the end of the night we were all tired, but SV still had enough energy to say good night to Papi.

Uncle William's living wake

Uncle William was having a living wake because so many of his family and friends were in town. We made sure to attend and to listen to all of the amusing and interesting stories people told. SV ended up sleeping through the wake and only woke up to have stories read to her by Grandma CeCe. MV on the other hand woke up from a nap earlier and was there to represent through out. She did pass out on the drive back though.

MV getting into eating

SV was good and asked to watch a film so we let her do so. MV also found it interesting for a while but ultimately it didn't mean much to get. She was sure interested in learning about the new did she was offered. She is enjoying exploiting the textures, smells and if course tastes.

Hanging out with Babicka

Babicka showed us a good time doing all sorts of things including walking around at Sam's Club with hair nets. Have a look below at some of the fun things we did.

Seeing Dedko Lubo again

This time we went out to lunch with Dedko Lubo. We had a great time even though it was just a fast food place. SV really appreciated the playground while MV got to have a bit more bonding time. Everyone got a bit goofy as well which made it quite light hearted.
