Celebrating SV's 8th birthday

We caught a taxi to the villa where we unpacked and unwound a bit. Then we opened some of SV's birthday presents since it was her actual birthday. She was really excited and was even happy for MV to get a present too.

Arriving in Ao-Nang

After another very pleasant flight we arrived into Krabi where we got picked up in a rather fancy van. The driver then took us near some spectacular cliffs on the way to Ao-Nang where we were staying. Once there we stopped at the beach and played a little bit. It was hard not to as it was really spectacular. We then had a quick walk around town to get our bearings and a lunch of SV's choosing since it was her birthday.

On our way to Thailand

It was hard to leave Slovakia and Europe this time as we aren't quite sure when we'll be back again. We had a lovely time and saw family one more time in the morning before heading to the airport. In Vienna we managed to fit everything on to one trolley and get to the gate with relative ease. We then had another great overnight flight into Bangkok. Once there we all shucked our clothets and freshened up asap. We also got refreshments and various delicious treats at the lounge. 

Hanging out with Nagy

Nagymama came over for more dinner as we packed to head off to Thailand. It was really nice to spend time with her. She really enjoyed playing with the kids, especially EV who was doing circuits through the house. Nagy taught her how to climb in and out of the pram by herself which was apparently loads of fun for both of them. The older two played too, practicing cutting with scissors and reading books with Nagy. We had a nice quiet dinner to mark the close of our Slovakia stay.

Visiting Teta Andula one more time

Our time in Europe was quickly coming to an end. We had one more great visit with Teta Andula where we played games, at first seriously and then less so seriously. We had a tasty lunch tooand talked heaps. Just before leaving the girls all took a photograph together with Teta Andula for good measure while climbing all over her.

Nove Mesto and a visit

We had a quick trip to Nove Mesto to sort some things out with mixed results. We had a nice walk and got to see parts we'd never seen before. Later in the day we visited our friends in their new house in one of the small villages. It was a really lovely home they built and the kids loved playing with each other. The trampoline was a favourite until they ran out of energy finally. The adults had a great time talking and catching up as well.

Čičmany to Stara Tura

HEre are a few more photographs of Čičmany as we really enjoyed it. Eventually we had to hit the road thoough. We stopped next to a small artificial lake for lunch. We had a pretty quick lunch and the girls ran around exploring. After coming back to Stara Tura we went to see everyone for dinner and more playing. Some people call it playing, others call it making a mess.
