MV was quite excited at the prospect of Yum Cha and directed everyone to the car asap. Walking through the city was fun and we had to stop to look at the fish slippers. They were just too fascinating not to. At Yum Cha the girls ate quickly and then worked on their art for quite a long time. Eventually they looked for us to entertain them.

Floor beading
Before and after breaky these two got right into their beading. They spread their beads out all over the floor and made at least two necklaces each. Perhaps they can turn it into a revenue stream for reaching their goal of owning a horse.

Chinese new year with friends
Uncle Nick and Auntie Aimee invited us to their new apartment for a Chinese New Year dinner. Despite the heavy rain it was fantastic to see their new view overlooking the Harbour Bridge and the city. We had a lovely reception and delicious dinner. The girls got a bit silly as well with a giant A balloon. The warm glow of the tele proved to be a bit too much in the end as they both got spellbound. Big thank you to Uncle Nick and Auntie Aimee for having us over and making such a good dinner.

Ladies day high tea
Grandma CeCe, KT and SV all went to the city for a high tea. It was the first time SV got to go and she was super excited. She really enjoyed having such a fancy meal. Unfortunately for MV, she was deemed to be too young for this particular excursion. She did get to be in the photographs though.

Chair train
The girls set up the chairs in a classic train formation. Then sat down and read until they got to their stop. Must have been one of those fancy driverless metros.

Backyard brollies
It was a warm morning and there was a very light sprinkle so the girls grabbed their brollies and had a conference in the backyard. They enjoyed a little chat under the umbrellas.
