Mat's 30th celebration

As per our tradition we joined our friends to celebrate milestone birthdays together. This year it was Mat's 30th birthday so we joined almost everyone up in Queensland, specifically Yeppoon. The girls had fun in the two flights they were happy to meet everyone. TV and SV managed to get down to the beach for a little while before going out for dinner at a steak house. 

Dr Zhang visits

Dr Zhang, KT's friend from her job in California, is travelling through Australia and we took him out one night to show him some of the sights in Sydney. He only had a few hours around dinner time so we took him to that great Australian institution, the pub. Specifically The Lord Nelson in The Rocks where he got to try the locally brewed beer. Afterwards we took a walk around Headland Park which is right around the corner for some stunning views of the city at night.

Last day of dance class

SV had her last dance class for now as we prepare for our trip. Her good friends Ashton and Sofia came back and joined her to make it a good class. SV said she will miss her teacher Miss Analisa.

Birthday party season continues

SV got another birthday party invitation which we are able to go to. In the morning we had a bit of time before the party so SV worked on some playdoh with which she made flowers. MV got into her seat to explore her animals. SV wanted to bring her wand so she could pretend to be Pinocchio but then decided not to bring it. She had fun running around, but she really enjoyed the underwater theme of the room. When we got home SV had a costume change after her nap before playing some more.

Babička's last day

After a very eventful stay it was time for Babička to head back home. Both MV and SV really enjoyed having her here and made the most of her last day.

Bondi Beach kite festival continued

Once SV got wet she stopped trying to stay dry and fully embraced playing in the waves. We didn't bring a change of clothes for her so we ended up improvising with a jumper made kimono. Eventually we stopped at a market and bought SV and MV matching dresses which SV wore happily. After all of that activity we stopped for some delicious laksa soup and ice cream. We even managed to bring some ice cream home to KT.

Bondi Beach kite festival

SV and TV took Babička to Bondi Beach for the kite festival. It was a lovely day and both Babička and SV really enjoyed it. TV had fun flying their kite too especially when SV was helping. Of course it's not possible to go to the beach on a gorgeous day and not dip your feet in the water.
