ANZAC Day ceremony

Here are a few photographs from the sunset service that we attended with Damian and Carlos. It was a solemn service which marked the end of the celebrations. Unfortunately we once again missed out on playing two up this year, oh well, there's next year.

Toothless grin

These photographs are some of the last toothless grins for SV. The last couple of nights she has started teething in a big way, with one of her teeth just about to break through. We will update as developments happen.

First Word and First Tooth!!!!!

Special post! Today, when TV came home from work, SV looked right at him and said, "Da-Da". Her first purposeful word! This comes right on the heels of the eruption of her first tooth. That's right, the little bottom tooth on the right side is poking it's little white head up out of the gums. Hooray for milestones! Video and pictures to follow!

Apple slice

First time SV had an apple slice she really enjoyed it as seen in the photographs below. Subsequently though they did not suit her taste as much. Although to be fair the first apple was a nice crisp, sweet and slightly tart one. The other two were just average, slightly mushy so it's entirely possible that she just appreciates the finer things and can't be bothered eating the other things.

Who's messy?

SV says "What do you mean I'm messy? I'm just enjoying my food." This was her first time eating avocados. Not to worry, the white stuff is just yogurt not her foaming at the mouth.

So close...

SV is so close to crawling, she has been working on it steadily for the last week and a half. She has been getting stronger and working on her balance, now she just needs to get the coordination together to make forward progress. She can already go backwards a little bit, she just needs to find first gear.

Mussels

That's right, she is eating and enjoying mussels. We gave it to her more as a joke, but she really enjoyed eating them. It did get a bit messy though.
