Last night in Slovakia

The time went very quickly and we saw quite a few people while in Slovakia. Alas our last night arrived and we saw everyone again sharing some more stories and good food. Everyone got a few more cuddles as well.

Baby time

MV got to meet some new friends, Clara and Victoria. She was very interested in seeing them although occasionally it did lead some tears being shed by one of the parties. Generally though they played nicely. SV didn't want to be left out either and she was very gentle with the two new babies.

Lake Dubnik on a sunny morning

We woke up to a lovely sunny morning and since we had been promising SV a chance to go to a playground we took her to Lake Dubnik where TV used to play frequently. The same playground apparatus are still there, and they look like they haven't been cleaned since the days TV was a kid. The walk through the forest was gorgeous as we came down to the water where SV really enjoyed skipping rocks. MV was also happy for a bit of fresh air and some sun on her face.

Bojnice Castle

We stopped at the Bojnice Castle so that SV could see a fully restored castle and what it looked like on the inside. The surrounding gardens looked spectacular with their autumn colours and set the scene very nicely for the castle tour. Inside the castle both MV and SV were paying attention, with SV really being interested in the stories. After the tour she asked heaps of questions all the way home, so the experience must have certainly made an impression on her. She liked dancing in the big dance hall and the natural cave that sits below the castle wit it's natural little lake.

Fancy Slovak breakfast

The last day in Rimavska Sobota we stopped at the nicest hotel in town for breakfast which was a lovely buffet in a nicely decorated dining room. We all ate our fill and then admired all the decorations. It was not bad for 11 Euros.

Visiting the Drobni's

We went to Rimavska Sobota to visit TV's family and to let the girls meet one of their cousins. It was really good to see them especially because they seemed to have recovered from some health issues. SV felt comfortable there, perhaps remembering our previous visit there 3.5 years ago. When her cousin came SV started playing with him and they were friends straight away. He acted like a pony for both MV and SV, and they loved it.
