After a couple of wonderfully warm and sunny days in Melbourne it was sadly time to head home. Before we headed out we had a quick lunch in Chinatown where SV is drinking her milk with her hat like a good girl. As part of our holiday package we had transfers to the airport included, and they picked us up quite early so we got to the airport almost 3 hours before our flight left. Then due to a nearby fire our flight was delayed antoher 30 minutes so we ended up spending quite a bit of time hanging out there. SV made the most of it by walking around and talking to people and drinking her water. Once we got to Sydney though, she was quite tired but still in a good mood in the taxi before finally crashing after a quick shower.

On the roof again
Our hotel had a rooftop swimming pool on the 17th level which we used every day. SV was more than happy to go swimming especially as it was a warm couple of days. As we mentioned before she made friends with a number of Indian fellows the first day and continued making friends each time we went swimming. The final morning before we checked out we had the pool all to ourselves, and we could get silly. Again some of the photographs are shot on good old fashioned film, can you spot which ones?

Lunch in the park
We had lunch in a park which actually had fake grass, but real trees. The park used to be completely paved but was converted to have the fake grass which was actually quite pleasant. We had a great lunch just sitting and enjoying the warm day before SV noticed the fountain and got into it. With the heat it was nice to cool off a bit even as she continued to nibble on her sushi roll. After walking up and down the fountain a couple of times she managed to fall in and required a costume change. Luckily we just bought her a little dress which she was happy to put on.

Baby kitchen
In the changing room of one of the department stores there was a play kitchen and a tiny table. SV really had a good time playing with them. She kind of looks like a little lady sitting there quite dignified. The last photograph was shot on film and has a bit of a different feel.

Shopping in Melbourne
Melbourne has some great little shops that we took advantage of. We didn't end up buying much but we still managed to have a good time taking in some of the sights.

A detailed look at the intrepid travelers
Here are a couple of photographs of KT and SV leaving for the US. SV was sporting her snazzy stripped blazer knowing full well that something was up. On the way to the airport she enjoyed her customary yoghurt snack. After checking in through the priority lane we took one more family photograph before KT and SV went through to customs.
Intrepid travelers
The two intrepid travelers are off on another trip. This time it's the US via New Zealand. Good luck and have a good trip. Photographs below are from the taxi to the airport and just before going into customs.
Evening interaction
After our frozen yoghurt SV had entirely too much energy and so we let her loose in a square that had some fake grass. She really had fun, especially when another little girl started playing with her. They ended up hugging before they parted ways.

Dinner and frozen yoghurt
One of the highlights of any trip to Melbourne is the food, and after 5 trips we have yet to be disappointed with the sushi there. We have always picked sushi places at random in Melbourne, and they have always been terrific. This dinner was no exception with some of the freshest tasting fish and deliciously crispy chicken. Afterwards we decided to take advantage of the balmy summer evening and get some frozen yoghurt before heading back to the hotel. SV certainly appreciated the thought, although it seemed we didn't serve her quickly enough.
