We went over to our friends Jarryd and Chrissy's house for a nice lunch. SV had a great time playing with the new toys, especially the two rubber balls which she chased around the house. She was then hungry for lunch and enjoyed the gluten free quiche that we had with veggies. We hadn't seen Jarryd and Chrissy for a while because they were away travelling around Europe, so it was lovely to catch up with them and see how they decorated the apartment since TV helped Jarryd move in.

Peach on the couch
SV really likes having access to the fruit bowl. All she has to do is climb up onto the couch and grab herself a fruit. Usually she sits and eats it, but this morning she wanted to have a pre-breakfast snack standing up.

Ice cream es guten
SV doesn't get ice cream very often, in fact she has only had it a total of maybe 5 times in her life, but when she gets to have it she really gets into it. That is most certainly a trait from KT's side of the family who are ice cream fiends. Here are some photographs of her enjoying her ice cream treat.

A day in the life
SV is a busy toddler, getting up to all sorts of things in the course of a day. Here is a 5 photograph look at a typical day.
Waiting for the bus to school |
Ugh, where is that bus already? |
Walking to the park after school |
Chasing the ducks in the park, much easier with walking |
They got away this time, but this ain't over |

Night baby
We stayed out past SV's bedtime, but she took it in stride as we walked to catch a taxi. TV was playing with the flash to show some movement as we walked along. In the cab SV got to sit in a seat like a big girl. She really enjoyed it, but as the safety officer she was a bit worried.

Australia Day 2013
Happy Australia Day (Observed)! We went to an Australia Day party on Saturday at our friends Matt, Vanessa and Harriet 's which was actually Australia Day. We seriously lacked Australia kit so SV ended up wearing her US flagged outfit, at least the colours are the same. To make up for it KT made an Australian flag fruit dessert which was popular. All the usual shenanigans were to be had including a kiddie pool which SV gladly got into, and relaxing in the backyard over a BBQ. Oh and of course the waving of miniature flags, always a must at any patriotic holiday party.

Giant duckie
Suffice it to say SV liked it. It is an installation at Darling Harbour as part of the Sydney Festival, created by Florentijn Hofman. It has been a very popular attraction for locals and visitors alike.
