Sushi train dinner

As a celebration of the end of SV's 2nd term we had a nice sushi dinner. It's been a great term with SV making some very big leaps. She has made a big step forward in her reading and her maths. Being able to count beyond a hundred and she understands how base ten works so she can count to infinity. Her addition and subtraction has really taken off as well, being able to add and subtract numbers into the hundreds. Suffice to say we are very proud of her.

SV's end of term 2 performance

SV had her drama class performance to showcase what she learned in term 2. It seems that she must have directed the skip her group performed for two reasons: 1. it involved a Singapore Airlines flight 2. she had the biggest part with the most action and lines. She did really well, not being shy at all despite all of the parents being there.

Sleepy couch kids

After a big day the girls were really tired and had a rest on the couch. MV actually fell asleep while TV read them a book. It was only a short snooze though.

Lego landscape

We have had a carpet for the girls which has a print of a small town, complete with roads. TV had an idea to set up all of SV's lego sets and play around on the carpet. The girls quickly embraced the idea and had a great time. They even shared control of the train very nicely. It was a great way to spend the morning, and they were even happy to pack away at the end.

Sleepy morning

The girls had a subdued morning. MV played quietly with the bus and SV had a rest on a pillow bed she made.

Scooting in the backyard

TV was working on laundry and other small things in the backyard. The girls took advantage and got their mobility toys out and scooted around. They pushed each other around and giggled almost the entire time.

After school activity

After school SV was doing some supplemental study. MV was helping out but then they got hungry. MV's jazzy jumper and overalls were pretty cute so we made sure to get some photographs of her in them. The overalls were KT's which made them a bit more special.
