MV and her sisters were quite keen to play with the new toys. As usual they didn't open all of the presents because they started playing with them. The polly pocket and children's Monopoly were two of the favourites.

Blowing out her candles with some (unwanted) help
MV got to blow out the candles on her birthday cake but there was a little person who was quite keen to help. MV didn't really want the help and was quite clear about it.

MV's congratulations and presents
MV was really excited about her birthday this year and was very happy to be celebrated. She has really grown this year and it was really fun to celebrate her accomplishments. Both EV and SV were happy to celebrate with her and they were all quite excited to open her presents.

Relaxing after the bushwalk
After such a long bushwalk we all wanted to relax and sit. The evening was a bit cool and it was nice to sit near the heater. The two older girls worked on drawings and then colouring them in. EV and KT read stories and sat on the couch. Everyone went to bed after that nice and tired.

Bottom of the escarpment and coming back up
Our walk took us through lush ferns before we had to ascend again to our destination, the Ruined Castle rock formation. EV was really keen to walk though, so she got to get out of the pack and go. She didn't mind going up at all. We had a lovely picnic before we headed back to the car again.

Walking down the escarpment
We went for another bushwalk but this time going down the escarpment. We started with a gorgeous view from above and then walked several hundred metres down on some pretty steep stairs and some were a bit slippery. We made it down safely and boy was it worth it. We still had opportunities for some views as we weren't quite at the bottom of the valley, but the path made its way through some lovely woods and ferns. EV managed to walk some of the stairs but once it got a bit difficult we put her in the backpack for safety.
